TAKE ACTION!

A five-cent fee on disposable plastic and paper bags has proven to be a powerful motivator to switch to reusable bags--dramatically reducing litter in our neighborhoods and saving consumers, businesses, and governments money.

The Maryland General Assembly is currently considering the Community Cleanup and Greening Act of 2012 (SB511/HB1247). Tell your representatives that you support a Trash Free Maryland and ask them to vote in favor of this common-sense proposal. Click here to send an email.

Is your community organization interested in joining our effort? To find out more, or to sign up, e-mail us!

We are looking for businesses and environmental, community, faith, youth, and other groups from across the state to work together to clean up litter and prevent it from happening in the first place.

Our members agree to work to reduce litter in Maryland, and to support policies to that end.
