Each year, we bring hundreds of Marylanders together to clean up and collect litter data on International Coastal Cleanup Day in September. Together, we have stopped thousands of pieces of plastic from polluting our harbors and oceans. The litter data collected informs our education and advocacy across Maryland to prevent single-use plastic pollution.

This is our 9th Annual Cheers to Clean Water Event! We clean up trash, collect data that helps us learn about and prevent the most common litter, and we build community support for achieving our vision of a Trash Free Maryland! The event started in Baltimore and recently expanded to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We are excited to partner again this year with Blue Water Baltimore and local small businesses and breweries who have generously provided our volunteers with complimentary beverage vouchers so our volunteers can say, “Cheers to Clean Water!”
Sponsorship Levels
Trash Hero
Sponsors* at the $250 level get their name displayed on the event website and in registration communication and followup emails to volunteers.
Litter Leader
Sponsors* at the $500 level get $250 level benefits plus their name or logo will be added to event promotional materials leading up to and following the event and they will receive a shout-out at the event and in social media posts and newsletters.
Cheers Champion
Sponsors* at the $1,000 level will receive $500 level benefits with larger logo displays, opportunity to speak and share your commitment to trash and litter reduction at the event, and name or logo displayed on drink vouchers offered to volunteers (if confirmed by 9/1/2026).

Anyone can support the event without being a named sponsor by making a gift through our donation link and marking it in support of Cheers to Clean Water.
