Chesapeake Conservation & Climate Corps
Chesapeake Conservation & Climate Corps applications are open and due March 6, 2026, for the 2026-2027 program year. This program provides a stipend-supported year of nonprofit service and career mentorship opportunities.
Trash Free Maryland and Baltimore Community ToolBank are partnering to co-host a Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps member in 2026-2027! The ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving, and writing skills; experience in project management, community outreach, and design are a plus. This position offers an exciting opportunity to meet and work with a variety of nonprofit organizations working to improve their environment and community. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in two small but mighty organizations.
Eligibility
Age 18-25 at the start of the program
A citizen of the United States, permanent resident alien, or has documentation confirming permission to work in the U.S. during the year-long term of service.
Corps Members must be available to serve full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) for the entire duration of the 12-month service term.

A stipend-supported year of service - $33,280 annually disbursed bimonthly
Program will run from August 19, 2026 to August 19, 2027
~80 Corps Members placed at Host Organizations supporting environmental projects across the state of Maryland
Trainings on various Professional Development Topics
4 All Cohort Project Days
4-10 Networking Visits to fellow Corps Members/Host Organizations
